If you are unable to attend an appointment, please ring the medical centre or cancel through hotdoc, so that another patient can be offered that appointment.

There may be a cancellation fee if we do not receive notice of your cancellation.

We need 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel an appointment prior to midday or minimum of two hours notice for afternoon appointments.

If we receive late notice of your cancellation the fee may also apply. This enables us to reschedule the day for other patients.

A fee may also apply if you miss your appointment without any cancellation notice.

Parkhill Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. Consultation fees are payable in full at the time of consultation. Pensioners, concession cardholders, and children under 15 years of age are bulk-billed if seen on weekdays before 4 pm.

The cost of a standard consultation at Parkhill Medical centre is $75.00 and is exclusive of any materials fee charged for dressings, materials used in procedures, contraceptives, and certain vaccines. However, the doctor will charge according to the consult provided.

A standard consultation time is 10 to 15 minutes.

A longer consultation time is up to 30 minutes. If you have numerous or complex medical issues or require a procedure, a longer consultation may be required.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to appointment time to allow for the paperwork including your medical history form. The patient registration form can be filled out prior to day of initial visit via our website New Patient Registration or picking a form up from the staff at the medical centre.

Please bring your medicare card, identity card and concession card . Also please bring any health reports (ie. Surgery) or diagnostic test results (ie. X-ray, MRI) that you would like to discuss.

If you are covered by Worker’s Compensation, bring your Claim number and Case Manager’s information.

In an emergency or life-threatening situation, please call 000 for an ambulance or visit your nearest hospital.

Yes, all immunisations including travel and flu are available from our clinic/medical centre, including Meningitis, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B etc.

We accept Cash, EFTPOS (ie. Credit Cards, Debit Cards).

Patients are required to make follow up appointments for all test results. No results are given over the phone due to confidentiality reasons. It is the patient’s responsibility to follow up on their test results, and we actively encourage our patients to be proactive in their healthcare and book an appointment for results before leaving the clinic.

The doctor performs minor surgery and the removed lesions are sent to the pathology lab for examination. A long appointment needs to be made. A private fee applies for all the procedures. The doctor will discuss the fees prior to any procedure.

Regardless of the nature of your visit, you need to book an appointment with a doctor to ensure that you receive the correct level of care. Depending on your individual circumstance, you may also need to see a nurse either before or after your appointment with a doctor. Our reception staff can answer any particular questions you may have about your appointment.

If your usual doctor is fully booked and you need to see a doctor today, please call us on 8790 2111, and we will try to book you in with another doctor who has an appointment available. To ensure patients are given the appropriate amount of time with doctors, we generally avoid fit-ins but will endeavour to arrange a same day appointment within our group of local clinics wherever possible.

Doctors have a duty of care and need to determine if you should be prescribed a medication based on various factors, or if you should continue or cease taking a medication, they may have prescribed for you previously.
